The Kūpay mark: a brown coconut with green shoots sprouting from it.
The Kūpay mark — a popo, sprouting.
The story in our mark

A fallen coconut is not the end.

Across the Pacific, the coconut is called the tree of life. Our mark captures one quiet moment in its journey — the moment a brown coconut that everyone walked past begins to grow again.

  1. 01

    Niu On the tree

Green and full of water, the young coconut grows high on the palm, held and fed by the tree above it.

  2. 02

    Popo The fall

In time it ripens brown and drops to the ground. It looks finished — a hard husk no one reaches for. But inside it carries everything it needs: water, rich white flesh, and a living embryo waiting behind one of its three eyes.

  3. 03

    Oʻo Life inside

Left untouched in warm, damp ground, the popo wakes. A soft white sponge — the oʻo — forms inside and slowly draws on the stored meat and water, feeding a shoot that pushes out through the eye and roots that reach into the soil.

  4. 04

A new palm The cycle continues

The sprout becomes a seedling, the seedling a palm. Years later that palm bears its own niu — food, drink, rope, shelter, and shade for a whole village — and the cycle begins again.

Why it's the Kūpay mark

What looks idle is storing value.

Between jobs, a worker can feel like a coconut on the ground. Kūpay keeps what you've built — your work history, credentials, and pay records — together in one wallet, so nothing is lost while you wait for your next season.

Growth feeds on what you've stored.

Just as the oʻo grows from the coconut's own stored meat, every completed job and verified credential in your Kūpay record helps carry you into the next opportunity.

One palm feeds a village.

A grown palm provides for generations. When professionals and Partner businesses grow together on Kūpay, the benefit reaches back to families, crews, and communities.

Kūpay is the popo that doesn't go to waste — the value you carry, growing into what comes next.

Questions

Before you sign up.

The basics, answered plainly.

Who can join Kūpay?

Independent contractors and safety ambassadors can create a profile and start picking up work. Businesses sign up as partners to source vetted workers and manage payments from one dashboard.

How do I get paid?

Payments run through the same Kūpay wallet you use to find and manage your work — no separate app or outside account needed to move your money.

Is Kūpay free for contractors and ambassadors?

Creating a profile and picking up jobs is free. Businesses work with our team directly on pricing for sourcing and workforce payments.

What's the difference between a Safety Ambassador and a Contractor?

Independent Contractors pick up general service-economy work. Safety Ambassadors take on event and site safety coverage specifically. Both are paid the same way, through your Kūpay wallet.
